ShapeBuddy ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal data when you use our mobile application.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following types of data:

Account Data: Apple ID (for authentication), display name you provide
Health & Fitness Data: Meal photos you upload, body scan photos, weight entries, calorie and macro goals
User-Generated Content: Chat messages with AI coach, personal notes, shopping lists, saved recipes, food diary entries
Usage Data: Streaks, credit balance, app preferences, feature usage statistics
Device Data: Device type, OS version (for app functionality and bug fixing)

Note: All photos and content you upload are stored on our servers to provide the service. You can delete your data at any time through the app settings.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide personalized AI coaching and meal analysis
To track your fitness progress and streaks
To process in-app purchases and manage your credit balance
To improve our services and fix bugs

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers (EU region). Photos are processed by AI services for analysis and are not stored permanently on third-party servers. All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

5. Third-Party Services

Apple: Authentication via Sign in with Apple
RevenueCat: In-app purchase management
AI Service Provider: Photo analysis and chat responses (data processed according to their privacy policy)
Supabase: Database and authentication provider

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to:

Access your personal data
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data ("Right to be forgotten")
Export your data in a portable format
Object to processing in certain circumstances

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app's settings (Danger Zone → Delete Account).

8. Children's Privacy

ShapeBuddy is not intended for children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Business Transfer

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your personal data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. The acquiring entity will be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy with respect to your personal data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app.
